Alumni Groups
Our alumni groups and alumni council cater to many interests. These groups are assisted by Alumni Association staff members in planning events, reunions, and meetings.
Some groups are organized by common areas of study or interests, while others are organized by geographical area. One group focuses on recruiting high-ability students to Ball State, and another focuses on interactions between alumni and current students. You can also learn more about alumni ambassadors to various parts of the U.S.
You can become involved with an already existing group, become an alumni board member, or form a new group by contacting us.
Professional societies are groups of alumni from the same academic department, school, or college. They provide opportunities for alumni within the same profession to gather, collaborate, and host events promoting the enhancement of Ball State and their profession.
Constituent socities are established to serve alumni who had a common interest while attending Ball State. These societies host reunions and events that allow alumni to get reacquainted and promote continued fellowship among members.

Alumni Chapters
Alumni chapters promote, through cooperation with the Ball State Alumni Association, the advancement of Ball State, provide opportunities for closer fellowship among alumni, aid in the recruitment of outstanding students for Ball State, and enhance the stature of Ball State University in local areas.
Alumni chapters observe an established set of by-laws, elect officers, and hold regular meetings. Examples of gatherings hosted by alumni chapters include attending sports and cultural events, hosting bowling and golf outings, casino nights, and much more.
